We get an extra day of reading this month, which is the perfect excuse for treating yourself to an extra book!
February is usually all about romance for me, but there are a few non-romances coming out this month that have really caught my eye. Here’s a look at the February 2020 new releases on my radar:
Tweet Cute by Emma Lord
I love a good YA romance, and this modern take on “star-crossed lovers” sounds way too cute. Books that include letters or, in this case, Tweets, are also so enjoyable. And I love a good themed read, so romances are always on my list in February! I can’t wait to read Tweet Cute…probably in one sitting.
Release Date: OUT NOW! 1 February [Hardcover] | Pre-Order
Recipe for a Perfect Wife by Karma Brown
This book has been on my radar for so long! As I said with Tweet Cute, I love a book that includes snippets of some sort (letters, photographs, etc.). The incorporation of recipes here is surely going to send me into a baking frenzy, but I’m really just so keen to read about Nellie’s life and discover the big secrets! It sounds like a unique read that is already receiving a ton of praise, so I can’t wait to read it – I already pre-ordered!
Release Date: 4 February [Paperback] | Pre-Order (I did!)
When We Were Vikings by Andrew David MacDonald
First off, I’m a sucker for covers, so this immediately caught my eye because the colors remind me of the Beartown cover, so I had to check out the description. This sounds like such a unique story and I love a good quest storyline. Plus, who doesn’t love vikings?
Release Date: 1 February [Paperback] | Pre-Order
The Bermondsey Bookshop by Mary Gibson
Novels that include bookshops always catch my eye, but I never end up actually reading them. I was fortunate enough to receive an advanced copy of The Bermondsey Bookshop via NetGalley, so I’m already working my way through this one and enjoying it so far. It’s giving me slight Cinderella story vibes so I’m just sitting back and waiting for Kate to come out on top; I’ll just have to keep reading in order to find out!
Release Date: 6 February [Hardcover] | Pre-Order
Grown Ups by Marian Keyes
I feel like I write this about every single family drama involving adult siblings, but I. Love. These. Novels! From The Nest to The Most Fun We Ever Had, family dramas featuring adult children are always simultaneously relatable and extremely comforting (they really put my minor annoyances with my family into perspective!). I feel like family relationships are so complex so, if written well, they’re extremely captivating. Also, does anyone else ever wake up after a night of heavy drinking and panic that you said something rude to someone at a dinner party? I can’t wait to hear what Cara has to say when she’s concussed!
