Christian Louboutin | Miu Miu | Valentino
Chloe | Jimmy Choo | Valentino
Christian Louboutin | Chloe | Jimmy Choo
With 2019 being the year that I stop making fast fashion impulse buys and start focusing on investment pieces, I’ve spent way too much time browsing Net-a-Porter. During our three days of absolutely blissful weather recently, all of my luxury-seeking attention turned towards spring shoes.
For this post, I’ve selected 9 shoes that caught my eye – 9 shoes I’d love to wear this spring! It’s no surprise that Jimmy Choo, Christian Louboutin, and Valentino made the list (multiple times, in fact) – these are the brands that immediately come to my mind when I think of luxury shoes. I was very surprised by the selection of Chloe shoes right now, though. It’s a brand that I don’t typically lean towards, but I totally see a Chloe purchase in my future!
Luxury Shoes for Spring
Here are some thoughts on luxury shoes from someone who doesn’t know much about luxury shoes. Disclaimer (though it should be obvious): I have no intention of buying all of these. In fact, I’m probably not going to buy any. I’m just a girl building her luxury wish list so she can choose the right investment piece when the time to buy comes!
Louboutin Espadrille Slides – I so wish I had these for my honeymoon a couple of summers ago. They’re the perfect pop of color to add to an all-white holiday outfit, and I love the tassel on the front. With the printed sole, they definitely scream “vacation” to me, so I’m not sure I’d fork out for a designer piece like this. But I’ll definitely be keeping my eyes out for a dupe this summer!
Miu Miu Slingback Flats – The dainty crystal embellished strap across the top of these elevates them to be a truly stunning shoe. These are available in black and gold patent leather; I’m not going to lie, if they come out in a neutral, matte color I’ll be splurging immediately.
Valentino Rockstud Sandals – A classic Valentino! I bought a dupe of the low-heeled version from River Island last year and wore them all the time. I love these pinky nude flat sandals and imagine I’d wear them with absolutely everything. Definitely one of my top choices for a luxury shoe investment!
Chloe Mules – These would be a perfect transition shoe to get you through March/April and September, when it’s still warm enough for your toes to say hello! I love that the style reminds me of a classic, everyday bootie, but leather/suede combination and the Chloe “C” give them that special designer touch.
Jimmy Choo Sandals – These are probably my favorite shoe on this list because they’re so simple, but the gold heel adds that sparkle. I’m honestly so tempted to buy these and start wearing them today.
Valentino Slingback Flats – Are slingbacks coming back in style? Were they ever out of style? I feel like I’m suddenly seeing them everywhere. Here’s a flat that you can wear with jeans, skirts, dresses, culottes – literally everything. It’s a perfect everyday color, with Valentino studs as a bonus!
Louboutin Platform Espadrilles – These platform espadrilles are totally not my style, but I was immediately drawn to them when browsing the web. They’re Louboutin, but the studs give them Valentino vibes and, with a platform wedge, they look so comfy. I totally imagine these being everywhere this summer.
Chloe Slides – Another Chloe slide, but this one a flat version! I absolutely love the two-tone here. Animal print is so in right now and these slides give a healthy dose of it that you can wear with anything.
Jimmy Choo Flats – If you’re going to invest in a luxury shoe, why not make it one you can wear with absolutely everything in your wardrobe? A plain, classic flat is just that! I’d happily take these in every color, but have my eye on the nude suede for spring.
If you could buy just one of these, which would you choose?
