Is it just me, or is each month of 2020 better than the last with regards to new releases? I seriously struggled to narrow this list down! But, I finally settled on six of my favorites (four of which I pre-ordered/have a copy of!) and am confident that you’ll love these upcoming releases.
I advise that everyone just leaves me alone the week of 10 March, though; all three books that I pre-ordered will be delivered on the same day, and I plan to snuggle up with them immediately. Anyway, here are the six March releases that I’m most looking forward to:
The Jetsetters by Amanda Eyre Ward
I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again and again and again: adult family dramas are my favorite. It’s like watching an episode of Grace & Frankie or Brothers & Sisters – they’re so relatable but often so over the top that it puts your own family problems into perspective. Plus, a family forced to spend time together on a cruise ship? Sign me up! I loved the family quarantine in Seven Days of Us and can only imagine this will be equally as entertaining.
Release Date: 3 March [Paperback] | Pre-Order
The Two Lives of Lydia Bird by Josie Silver
I am 100% on the Josie Silver bandwagon after One Day in December, so when I saw this book on NetGalley, I just had to request an early copy! This sounds like a total tear jerker and I love a good tear jerker. Writing fiction about overcoming grief can be a tricky thing but I have no doubt that if someone can do it beautifully, that person is Josie Silver. I am so looking forward to picking this up.
Release Date: March 5 [Paperback] | Pre-Order
The Numbers Game by Danielle Steele
Danielle Steele is one of those authors (like Christina Lauren) that I have seen over and over again but have yet to read. So, if I’m going to dive in, why not start with a new release? This sounds so interesting – a book from the perspective of the wife, the mistress, and the mistress’ grandmother? That’s something I never would’ve thought of!
Release Date: March 5 [Paperback] | Pre-Order
Undercover Bromance by Lyssa Kay Adams
I read the first book in this series, The Bromance Book Club, this month and can confirm I will be pre-ordering all of the books in the series moving forward. This was such a fun story and not your typical rom-com read at all. I can’t wait to see where Lyssa Kay Adams takes the series from here. I really love series like this that focus on different characters each time – they work as standalone reads but also come together as a series.
Release Date: March 10 [Paperback] | Pre-Order (I did!)
In Five Years by Rebecca Serle
This kind of feels like a reverse What Alice Forgot but more romance heavy and I am here for it! I’ve been seeing this book everywhere recently and the cover caught my eye (it’s sort of a mix of The Light We Lost and Such a Fun Age, right?), but the description peaked my interested even more. This almost definitely seems like a book that I will read in one sitting, and I can’t wait to do just that!
Release Date: 10 March [Hardcover] | Pre-Order (I did!)
A Good Neighbourhood by Therese Anna Fowler
Modern suburbia might just be my favorite setting for a novel. There’s just so much that can be done with family & neighborhood drama and it’s always so intriguing to see what an author focuses on and what the biggest issue in the novel is. A Good Neighbourhood peaked my interest because it’s a phrase that I use over and over again: “I grew up in a good neighbourhood.”; “I want to raise my kids in a good neighbourhood.”; “This is a good neighbourhood to live in, isn’t it?”. It’s a phrase that dictates so many decisions in so many lives. But what is a good neighbourhood? I can’t wait to find out what Fowler has to say!
