We’re a big pajama household. I enjoy slow mornings sipping coffee in my pajamas, buying matching pajamas with friends for every occasion, and (most importantly) sleeping in something that feels good and looks good. While pregnant, I spent quite a bit of time looking for the best maternity & postpartum loungewear and, once my son was born, I shifted a lot of focus to pajamas for babies and toddlers. Now that he’s two and we’re prepping for the newborn stage again with our twins, I find myself going back to the same kids pajamas brands over and over again. This post is a roundup of my personal favorite pajama brands for babies and toddlers and why I love each one.
Best Affordable Pajamas for Babies: H&M

Every time we are shopping for the next size up in toddler clothes, I immediately add at least one set of H&M pajamas to my cart. They’re made with a thin cotton so work year round and run slightly on the larger side, so they seem to last for ages. They regularly come out with new seasonal prints and collaborations, so there is something for everyone. We love both the sleepsuits and two-piece pajama sets and the shortie sets are great for lounging around the house on hotter days!
I’ve never had an issue with wear & tear, so the twins will most definitely be getting use out of the sets that we bought for Rhys, meaning they really are worth every single penny. And they’re so affordable, at £6-8 per set with multipacks available. H&M also has a great range of snap-closure pajamas if you prefer those over zips.

Most Fun Pajamas for Babies: Caden Lane
From the cutest seasonal prints to personalized items to matching family swimwear, Caden Lane has absolutely everything you need to be an adorable matching family. Out of all of the options on this list, they’re not the most affordable or the best quality, but I have a serious soft spot for the brand. Or, more accurately, an addiction to buying from it!
There are prints available for every occasion and the accessories are so adorable. Plus, the customization options are great for the newborn stage (think: birth announcements!). For longevity, the convertible sleepsuits will last longer since you can use them with and without the footies. So, whether you’re traveling to The Masters, visiting a friend in Hawaii, or booking into a countryside hotel for the weekend, Caden Lane has a print that will be perfect for the occasion.

Best Bamboo Pajamas for Babies: Kyte Baby
Kyte Baby makes some of the softest pajamas I have ever touched. And their bamboo sleeping bags are also fantastic. So it’s no surprise that this brand comes up on list after list of the best pajama brands, and I certainly wasn’t going to leave it off of mine! Of the various bamboo options that we’ve tried, I’ve found Kyte Baby to be the stretchiest and therefore last the longest, but there is a higher price tag that goes along with that!
They release multiple prints per month and have a number of items in each print, plus suggested matching solids so it’s easy to mix & match with other siblings or to put together a gift set for somebody. They also have one of the better loyalty programs, so it’s a good brand to commit to!

Best Non-Zip Pajamas for Babies: Magnetic Me
I generally find zip pajamas to be the best all around (until you can switch to the 2-piece, which I’m even more a fan of!), but Magnetic Me’s magnetic-closure pajamas are so cool and convenient and they have some of my favorite prints (this pickleball print is too cute!). I also think their Kimono Take Me Home Sets are genius and great for newborns. The non-zip closure also makes these perfect for preemies or NICU babies who may be coming home with feeding tubes or oxygen.
Magnetic Me has toddler/kid pajamas as well, but they have slightly fewer options. However, I will say we bought a pair in size 12-18 Months and they still fit well as our little one was turning 2. The modal fabric is so soft and super stretchy and the pants run on the longer side. So, if you find a set for toddlers, it’s definitely worth the investment!

Best Pajamas to Gift New Parents: LAKE

There’s no denying that LAKE Pajamas are a bit of a splurge, which is why they make such a perfect gift. The 100% pima cotton feels so good on the skin and wears and tears so well. Their maternity short/long set that I bought during my first pregnancy still gets so much wear and I always treat myself to a new pair of their pajamas when I visit the US.
At $48-52 full-price, the baby and toddler pajamas are also a splurge, but they’re a great thing to grab in the sales. They run a bit small so we always buy a size or two up and they end up lasting a bit longer (our 2 year old is currently wearing Size 3 and has been for awhile).

Best Matching Family Pajamas: Hanna Andersson

I’ve been a fan of Hanna Andersson pajamas since well before we had children (see above our 2021 Christmas card photos!) and am even more excited about the brand now that we have a toddler. They release new prints for every season/major holiday as well as loads of collaborations throughout the year.
The family match sets include something for everyone, including the dog, and they have some lovely mix & match pajamas for families that want a bit more variety.

Best All Around Pajamas for Babies: Baby Mori

Baby Mori pajamas have been a part of our life since Rhys was a newborn and there’s no looking back now! We joined their Sleep Club, a monthly pajama subscription at £17.90 per month which not only includes the monthly set of pajamas, but also a 20% discount site-wide, all the time! And it gets used heavily in our household.
The most difficult part of being a Baby Mori fan is choosing a favorite product. The Clever Zip Sleepsuits were our absolute favorite in the newborn/baby stage and we now regularly buy the pajamas – and all materials are so high quality and comfortable. We also always have their ribbed summer sleepsuits in our bag in the warmer months – they’re perfect for a quick change of clothes or to throw on after swimming.
They’ve taken the spot as our #1 best all around because the quality, variety of prints, and price point are all top notch. These are a staple in our household now and will continue to be when the twins arrive. They also recently released a modal fabric and are branching out into mommy & me options, which has my little mama heart very excited!

Best Year-Round Sleep Sacks for Babies: Woollino
Finally, we’re taking a quick pivot from pajamas to focus on our other favorite sleep item – sleeping bags! We barely swaddled when Rhys was a newborn and therefore quickly moved into the sleep sack stage. I have a number of recommendations when it comes to sleeping bags, but the Woollino Merino Wool Sleeping Bags are by far my favorite and definitely the best with regards to price per wear.
Because the merino wool helps regulate body temperature, the same sleeping bag can be used year round. And, with the sleeping bag made for sizes 2-24 months, you really only need to buy one product to see you through to the toddler years.
This is not an exhaustive list and we have purchased some fantastic baby and toddler pajamas from other brands as well. However, these are all brands that I truly love and purchase from each year. They’re my first port of call when we need to size up or want to buy a new print for a special occasion.
And, in some cases, they’re brands I shop for myself, as well. In fact, I have these LAKE pajamas coming over with my mom when she comes to meet the twins and I can’t wait to get my hands on a fresh pair.
Let me know if there are any other brands I should try based on these, or if you have a favorite print or product from any of the above!
